If you’ve been researching psychic phenomenon you might have heard the term “chakra” before. You may have heard people speak about opening them, unblocking them, cleaning them or getting in touch with them. They certainly sound important enough, but what are they, exactly?

Points of Energy

Each of us is made up of two parts: matter, and energy. Your energy body forms your aura. It’s affected by your emotions, your thoughts, and your spirit. Your chakra are the points in your body where energy from the Universe flows in and out of your body. It’s vital to keep these access points healthy because energy that does not flow stagnates and becomes detrimental. Each chakra relates to a specific part of your life and well-being, so blockages at specific chakra can cause some very specific issues in that part of your life or body.

Naming the Chakra

There are seven chakra: your root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown. Each one of these chakra is also associated with a specific color which you will see portrayed on diagrams that teach the chakra.

The root chakra is symbolized by the color red. It pertains to your feelings of security. It is healthiest when your most basic needs are met such as food, water, shelter and acceptance from those around you.

Next, as we move up the body we come to the sacral chakra, symbolized by the color orange. This chakra rules over pleasure, sensuality, and sexuality in all of its many forms.

The solar plexus chakra is symbolized by the color yellow. It is the center of your power, responsibility, and confidence.

The heart chakra is represented by the color green and, as you might well imagine, rules over love, affection, and friendship.

The throat chakra is represented by the color sky blue. It represents our ability to communicate, feel, and respond to others as well as our ability to stay in touch with our emotions.

The third eye chakra is represented by the color royal blue. This rules over intuition, psychic ability, focus, determination, and will.

Finally, there is the indigo crown chakra which relates to our spiritual growth and development.

What Do You Do When a Chakra is Blocked?

Usually, chakra wind up blocked as the result of some sort of psychological trauma. You can also upset them through constant worry and stress. You can sometimes restore balance yourself through a process of relaxation, meditation, and saying affirmations. If these techniques alone don’t help you then you can seek out a psychic healer, someone skilled in the arts of Reiki. Reiki is capable of restoring lowered energy levels and clearing blockages from the chakra. Reiki practitioners can also help you if your chakras are out of balance, as having chakra which are too open is also a bad thing. A wide-open third eye chakra, for example, is sometimes linked to migraine headaches.

Of course, you might not have the experience or knowledge to know whether a chakra is blocked or not. This is a common problem, but there are always clues. For example, the part of your body or life that is ruled by the chakra will typically suffer when there is a problem with one of the chakra. If you feel like nobody listens to you, for example, you might have a throat chakra problem. If you constantly feel helpless you probably have a solar plexus problem. Certain health problems will be linked to the parts of the body where the chakra reside. When your chakra are functioning properly, however, you will be blessed with a sense of well-being in all areas of your life.

I recently had a personal reading from all of the above info. she seemed REAL. My main question was about my soulmate who passed away almost 1 yr ago. The dreams i have nightly, that i cant remember, she said was from him and he’s around me. Since i cant remember, she said on his death date he may come to me in a mirror in my home. Does this sound correct? Or any truth to this? Have NEVER heard of this ever. Has anyone?
